Blast Off Math will be offering it’s unique math enrichment classes in Grand Rapids MI this summer.
Marie Fowler will be teaching 5 levels of Blast Off Math at St. Stephen’s Elementary school in East
Grand Rapids this summer. Marie Fowler works in the Learning Lab at St. Stephen’s , primarily teaching
reading and math to kindergarten through eighth-grade students. She also consults with teachers and
parents. She attended Aquinas College, earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology and an elementary
teaching certificate. She also has a master’s degree in teaching with an endorsement in reading and
learning disabilities from Aquinas.
This year, parents can select the best fit math class for their children. If you child has struggled with
some math concepts, you can select the Blast Master level for your child’s current grade level. In this
class, you child will reinforce the concepts learned that school year. If your child is a strong math student,
please select the Blast Off level for the grade they will be entering in Fall of 2011. In this class,
your child will explore concepts that will be introduced the next school year to make sure they hit the ground
running in fall. If you are unsure which would be best fit for your child, please contact Mrs. Fowler and she
will happy to assist you.
Classes will range from 45 minutes – 75 minutes and will be offered June 29th, July 20th and August 10th.
